Virginia farmland summer session

I’ve been photographing Kate’s family since her firstborn was newborn. Dedicated members of the US Foreign Service, their family spend a few years stateside while their girls were babies. Now they’re back to lives of travel and service, with summers in the US to visit family and friends all over the country. Their home base is still Washington DC, and I got to catch up with them on literally their last day in America before heading off to their next assignment. They were staying with close friends who own a gorgeous Virginia farm, and we roamed the grounds capturing portraits and memories.
